 Canfield House in Onekama, Michigan is a beautifully restored early-1900s summer cottage originally built by lumber baron and former Manistee mayor Charles Canfield. Set on 2.5 acres with over 200 feet of private Portage Lake frontage, it’s affectionately known as the “House on Two Lakes” due to its access to both Portage Lake and nearby Lake Michigan. The home features original architectural details such as leaded-glass windows, a grand stone fireplace, Dutch doors, and a wide wrap-around porch. Inside, guests will find seven uniquely appointed rooms with private en-suite bathrooms, blending historic charm with modern comfort.
